Monmouth cricketers suffer shock defeat

Monmouth 1st XI suffered an embarrassing 144 run defeat at the hands of Romsley and Hunnington.

Romsley won the toss and elected to field with opener Alex Williams being dismissed for a second ball duck by Jonathan Roberts (1-31).

However Romsley began to assert their dominance with S Randall (67) and Paul Pickering (66) both passing fifty. Monmouth were able to peg Romsley back with Ian MacKinley (5-69) and Australian Andy McGuire (4-73) both excelling with the ball.
