Drummers, dancers and fire jugglers were just a few of the acts that delighted Monmouth visitors and residents last weekend at Monmouth Carnival. There was even a visit from the 501st Garrison and a very pleased Darth Vader.

Whilst Monmouth Carnival was delayed due to Covid-19, that didn’t dampen the day as the sun came out to greet carnival goers and parade participants.

The traditional costume parade happened, not through Monnow Street as it usually does, but across the Chippenham playing fields (Millennium Fields).

Bezerkaz Circus entertained adults and children with stilt walking, fire juggling, and Poppins delighted carnival goers with an impressive hula hoop display.
