Miss Monmouthshire has been crowned Miss European princess at the Miss European pageant held in Malta.

Emilie Parry-Williams travelled to St Julians, Malta, on Tuesday 5th November to compete with other women across Europe.

The Miss European pageant is held annually and invites 10 ladies from 10 different European countries to compete in the event.

Emilie said: "The pageant was set over five days. We had a welcome party on day one, a trip to the capital Valetta on day two where we collected money for a Maltese charity. We then had a press conference and photo shoot.

"On day three we went on a boat trip around the island; this was my favourite bit as we were told all about the history of Malta.

"Day four was a full day of rehearsals, it was also the team dance competition, this was won by Portugal and was truly deserved as their dance was incredible.

"Out of 100 girls I made it into the top 30, so was very happy. I was also in the top three for Team Wales.

"Malta was absolutely amazing. The weather and the culture were gorgeous and we made lots of friends with the other girls from the pageant."
