local football club has become the latest victim of crime. Wyesham Wanderers FC recently had their changing facilities vandalized and broken into.

The vandals completely smashed hundreds of pounds of shower units for the sake of two lengths of copper pipe, they even stole two sets of door handles, which looked like brass, but have no value at all.

The major problem arose when, looking around inside, it was discovered that they had stolen a £400 line marking machine, five sub jackets, a ball bag containing 18 match balls, water bottles, a brand new shower in the box ready to go in the refs room, and even the medical bag which they would have needed as one of the culprits left some nice dna for the forensics.

A spokesman said "We were told, it is not if, but when they are caught through this vital evidence".

Alan Cox, spokesman for Wyesham Wanderers, said the club was formed in 2007. The plan was to put something into the community. "It as been a long hard battle to achieve what little we have, now we have to start all over due to these pathetic individuals" he said.

"It was coming along just fine before this happened, we have three pitches and facilities kindly provided by Monmouthshire Show Committee, we also now have three junior teams from the age of 6,13,15. Our aim was to have teams right through the spectrum from six to a second senior team. We would like to thank our sponsors, who had supplied the equipment, but I think it would be out of order to ask again, we will be doing more fundraising now to try to replace this valuable equipment. If any one has any information please come forward; this crime has had more effect on the youngsters because they don't understand why they can not use their changing rooms".
