WHAT happened after Jason and the Argonauts had found the Golden Fleece? What happened to Medea the princess who had helped him? Did Jason and Medea really live happily ever after? Do fairy tales always end happily?

Years have passed since the Golden Fleece. Jason and Medea are back in Greece. They have two sons but they have no money. And when Jason has the chance to marry a rich young heiress, he does not hesitate.

So what happens when a fairy tale turns sour, when obsession turns to hatred? Mind games? Vengeance? Murder?

David Stuttard's adaptation of Euripides' Medea is on at Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls next Tuesday (February 13th) at 7.30pm. It is performed by Actors of Dionysus, with Tamsin Shasha in the title role. The Financial Times said of their Medea Audiobook: "They make it very clear why the Greeks were so excited about this play" and The Independent wrote: "An astonishingly tense and absorbing performance. Tamsin Shasha is chilling as the mad but marvellous Medea."

Medea is directed by David Stuttard and choreographed by Thea Nerissa Barnes, Artistic Director of Phoenix Dance, Leeds.

Tickets are priced at £8, with concessions at £6 and will be available on the door or can be reserved by calling Mrs Pearl Biddle on 01600 711100.
