Ross Swimming Club is enjoying a busy end of season. Taking part in the PGL Gala was exciting with swimmers achieving personal bests and speeding tickets. All eight teams fought hard and Ross finished in 7th place, but the team has to be congratulated on this fine performance. The following weekend the swimmers were away at the Torfaen Open Meet in Newport. This was a great opportunity for the younger swimmers to gain experience in open competition and to their credit they all did very well winning Gold and Silver medals. The following day three Ross Club members were at the County Development Group working with other high performance swimmers. The recent 'in house' Gala - 'Fast Water Sprints' involved over 60 swimmers from the Ross Club sprinting as fast as they could over the 25m distance. This involved swimmers age 6 - 16 years and the swimmers had some excellent results. The highlight of the evening was the parent and child 2 x 25 relay teams, 21 teams took part and the winners were England Family team 2. The final Ross Swimming Club event this summer will be the Hereford Open Meet.
