SIR,

I am appalled with the unbalanced views of letters printed in the Beacon last week.

Am I the only resident in Monmouth who would like to see a McDonald's in town?

I have recently moved here from Cwmbran and miss having the choice of eating at McDonald's, especially if it's got a drive through.

Most days I am home before my wife, and, instead of waiting for her to come home and cook my tea, I could make good use of this new place.

I am a bit cheesed off with people wanting to keep Monmouth in the dark ages. Three cheers for McDonald's I say.

I doubt whether this letter will appear in print but would be interested in joining the McDonald's yes group, if any of your readers could help.

If some people are concerned with the traffic at the Dixon roundabout, then get rid of it. Why do we need a roundabout there?
