Ross Mayor, Councillor John Davies, turned up for the official opening of the Ross Skate Park on Saturday but unfortunatley all the plans were scuppered by the terrible weather. The organisers were warned the park could flood during the afternoon so the planned competitions could not go ahead.
Some of the skate-boarders made valiant efforts to sweep away the water so that the Mayor could try out the slopes but unfortunately the soaking conditions made all the activities too dangerous.
Photographs were taken in a short gap between bouts of rain. This was followed by a shortened gig by a local band inside the marquee.
