A man was taken to Hereford Hospital after being assaulted on the dance floor of Jacqueline's Nite Spot on Saturday night, April 12th. The assailant left quickly and headed off through the town centre. The Club's personnel were concerned for the victim and called an ambulance. He was attended to by paramedics before being taken to Hereford Hospital for further treatment, and he was later discharged. Police were called to the club at ten past one on Sunday morning. They searched the surrounding area and spoke to a number of witnesses. The man believed to have committed the ABH assault was described as a white male in his early to late 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches, of medium to heavy build, with short fair hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, the T-shirt may have been spattered with blood. Police are still pursuing the witness statements and have been studying the Club's CCTV.
