A man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking a woman's jaw in a Monmouthshire pub.

Police were called to the Hog's Head, Llantilio Crossenny, in the early hours of Sunday (3rd July) morning.

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We were called to the Hog's Head at 12.15am on 3rd July by the ambulance service with a report of a woman with facial injuries.

"She was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital.

"A 50-year-old man from Usk has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries."
