Gloucestershire Highways is resurfacing a one-kilometre section of the road between Staunton and the Gloucestershire boundary and improving drainage at the same time.
Monmouthshire County Council will carry out maintenance work on the approach to the county boundary while the road is closed.
The timetable for the work is as follows:
Road to be closed from the 3rd – 25th August (road closed on weekdays only, Monday to Friday).
Re-opened on the 26th & 27th August for Monmouth Show.
Then closed from the 28th August – 4th September (road closed on weekdays only, Monday to Friday).
