Following their sold out 2012 arena tour, British legends Madness have confirmed they will be playing live at Chepstow Racecourse this summer.

The band will perform after racing on Friday 14th June. The Chepstow event is their only show in Wales and the South West this summer.

Madness are renowned for their high energy live shows and their love of British tradition, so what better summer venue to play than a racecourse. On the tour, the band said: "A day at the races, British summer time, sounds suitably nutty to us."

Phil Bell, executive director at Chepstow Racecourse, said: "We are delighted that we have secured Madness to play at the racecourse.

"They are a national treasure, their songs span the last three decades and they will attract a huge audience.

"The combination of live racing and music has proved a massive hit in recent years on Britain's racecourses and we are looking forward to a fantastic evening of entertainment for customers of all ages."

Tickets are priced at £37 and are available at http://www.chepstow-racecourse.co.uk">www.chepstow-racecourse.co.uk

2012 was an incredible year for Madness. They performed on the roof of Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Jubilee, played to a television audience of millions at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and released their 10th studio album to much acclaim and top 10 Official Chat placing.

The band's latest album, 'Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da' is out now.
