SIR With the future development of the Fairfield site Chepstow will loose Buffer Wharf to houses. This is the last part of the town where ships discharge their cargo and maintain Chepstow as a working port. Not many people realise the historical significance of this. Also, the fact that builders requiring sand in bulk will have to source it from Newport. I think it's important that we preserve the old parts of the town while also welcoming new development.
