A talented local artist has designed and painted the bonnet of a car competing in the charity rally event 'The Ramshackle Rally', which departs from Calais on August 3rd to go to Krakow in Poland. Fred Crellin at Artimagination Airbrushing, in Kempley, was contacted by Anthony Chaffey, from Birmingham to see if he would be interested in making Anthony's 'Team Carmageddon' car just a bit special with some of his well known handiwork. Fred agreed, on the condition that his work was used to raise the profile and money for the Joshua Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping terminally ill children enjoy their lives with dream experiences and holidays with their families. Fred has entitled the artwork 'One last go on the dodgems'. The mural depicted on the bonnet of the Volvo 440 is based on the dream of a child who has an interest in cars and video games from which the team name was inspired. Funds from the rally will go towards fulfilling dreams for children like this and their families, where the children are diagnosed with terminal cancer. If you wish to make a donation for the team, please go into the web site http://www.teamcarmageddon.wordpress.com">www.teamcarmageddon.wordpress.com where donations can be posted via Paypal. The team is raising money for The Joshua Foundation and The Motor Neurone Disease Association. The cars are due to be left in Poland and Fred's car bonnet will probably stay there. Fred said: "It would be nice if someone could afford to bring it back, I would have liked it to be raffled in aid of the Joshua Foundation."
