A CHARITY fundraising evening held on 3rd October at Llandogo Village Hall has raised £1,195 towards Thomas Harrhy’s wheelchair appeal. Thomas, an 11 year old from Hereford, suffers from cerebral palsy, and currently uses an NHS manual wheelchair to move around. A fundraising campaign to provide him with an electric wheelchair so he can gain more independence is under way.
The event saw games of bingo, a ploughman’s supper, a raffle, and entrainment from local entertainer Paul Northey (The Singing Postman).
Event organiser Beryl Caple said: “I’d like to thank ally hose involved for their hard work and support. A massive thank you to all those that attended to make it such an enjoyable evening.
“A special thank you to all companies and individuals who generously donated gifts for raffle prizes; The Anchor Hotel in Tintern, Ceri Hall Hairdressing, Wellington Garden Services, Abbey Mill, Browns Village Stores plus many others.
