SIR, A big thank you on behalf of the Lions Club, Monmouth, to all those who participated in the purchase of plants this year. Your purchases resulted in a turnover of £3,224. The quality of the plants was once again superb and a big thank you goes to David Price, for the use of his farm/barn, where the plants were delivered, organised and distributed by fellow member Lions and friends. The plant sales is one of many fund raising methods used to raise funds for local and international charities. They give pleasure and reward to all those involved. Customers feedback is always rewarding, with comments such as "Thanks to the Lions I can continue to keep my garden nice as I am no longer able to collect such items from the shops myself".
