Sunday,18th May was a perfect day for four Monmouth gardens to open for the National Garden Scheme (NGS). There were well over 400 visitors, and £4430 was raised for NGS charities such as MacMillan and Marie Curie.
Teas at St John’s and North Parade House were very popular and made £1261.50 for Monmouth Food Bank. The plant sale in the Nelson Garden raised £130 for the Nelson Garden charity.
If any other garden owners in the town centre are interested in opening with us next year, please contact Tim Haynes on 07738236899
Many thanks to all who made the day such a success - including visitors, helpers from U3A, bakers of cakes and of course the garden owners themselves.
