SIR, I had a meeting with David Davies MP last week. I asked four questions, the bulk of which were avoided. I told him that I did more as a member than the vast majority do for the Conservatives. I was treasurer, secretary and editor of the newsletter for over 10 years. We moved to Monmouth in 2009 and after the 2010 elections when the Conservatives won and their attitude to the EU became known, I joined UKIP. I have since been treasurer for two different branches and am now treasurer for Monmouth. I asked about the EAW (Euro Arrest Warrant) which I understood was being supported by them, he said it was not finalised. The EAW is in total opposition to our laws. The next item I asked about was windfarms. I had no response. My last question was with regards to the number of jobs affected by the UK leaving the EU. I had previously read a number of 100,000 which, in my humble opinion, is hogwash, because they want to make leaving the EU as difficult and as painful as possible, to encourage voters to vote against leaving, but in fact leaving would create far more jobs. If any reader would like to discuss any point raised in this letter, please ring me on 01600 775494. Tudor Greaves (Monmouth)
