A Public Services student at Coleg Gwent's Usk Campus has been appointed to Gwent Police as a Special Constable in the second year of her studies at the Campus.
Laura Stanaway successfully achieved the voluntary role which provides a vital link between the regular Police and the local community whilst completing the second and final year of her BTEC National Diploma in Uniformed Public Services at Coleg Gwent.
In September Laura will be studying a BA Honours Degree in Police Sciences at the University of Glamorgan before going on to pursue her career in law enforcement.
