a Coleg Gwent's Usk Campus Women's football team are celebrating after two recent wins in the British Colleges League.

 The team are now the only Welsh representatives left in the British Colleges Plate Competition. 

 After winning 12-7 against Gloucester College with Lyndsey Davies, Jessica Pearson and Jodie Coggins scoring, the team then went on to beat Cirencester College 6-1, with goals scored by Jessica Pearson, Katrina Tomlinson, Sam Snelling and Laura Stanaway.

 Speaking about the team, Coach Leon Annett said: "I am delighted with the success of the team so far.  They have played very well, and many students have improved their performance and skills. 

"We now have a great opportunity to go further in this competition, and everyone is fit and really keen to play."

 The next match will be on Wednesday 18 March against Weston College at Usk Campus.
