TWO members of Raglan Parc Golf Club have finished runners-up in a national amateurs competition.
Denise Hill and Nic Matthews were runners-up in the UK final of the Daily Mail Women's Amateur Golf Tournament.
Denise and Nic qualified at Raglan Parc last October.
They then went on to play seven regional matches to make it to the last 16.
The finals, a two day tournament, were held at St Pierre Golf and Country Club on 18th and 19th October.
On the first day they beat Braehead, then Gatton Manor.
The following morning, in the semi final, they beat Willow Valley.
That afternoon, Raglan Parc lost in the final to Sandiway.
They gave the spectators two days of, at times, brilliant golf. Coming second out of initially 1,500 clubs is a tremendous achievement
