Monmouth Town's Kingfisher team starts 2010 this Saturday with an early noon kick-off against Gwent rivals Newport Civil Service firmly focussed on promotion to the Welsh league Division Two and a good chance of silverware in the Gwent Senior Cup.

Town currently lie sixth in Division Three and are in the semi final of the Gwent Senior Cup after beating Newport County at Spytty park earlier in the season, and are confident that they can maintain their good form and clinch one of the top three spots in May.

Town are currently the highest scorers in the division, with 17, goal Phil Tranter leading the hit parade with the tireless Matthew Bowen providing huge support and other team mates also weighing in with their share of the goals.
