Comfortable win Ross U13s travelled away to play the Lydney Flintoffs in a West of Severn League match on Sunday, 18th May,. Ross won the toss and elected to bowl, getting off to an extremely good start, taking wickets in the third and fourth over. Amazing accuracy throughout the Ross team prevailed, with notable performances from David Tookey (3-0-6-1), Kieran Pitts Caton (2-1-1-2) and Ben Robbins (2-0-6-1). When Ross came into bat they quickly got into their stride with the opening pair of Michael Jeffryes and Kieran Pitts Caton putting on a quick fire 44 in four overs for the loss of only one wicket, followed by 43 from the second pairing of Ben Robbins and Michael Donaldson, again for the loss of just one wicket. The last two pairings of David Tookey and Aaron Thorley and Nick Gibbons and Elliot Payne, put on a total of 72 with no losses finishing on a great score of 349 for 2 off their 16 overs. Ross won comfortably by 125 runs.
