Monmouth Raft Race is making a return on Sunday September 7 at Monmouth Rowing club.
The event is at 12pm, with an entry fee of £50 per raft due before May 31 but will be £75 after this date.
The Monmouth Raft race is brought to you by The Rotary club, St Davids Hospice care and the Severn Area rescue association.
The event is Monmouth’s 58th raft race, and it will begin at Monmouth rowing club.
The raft race is an opportunity to join the celebration to find out if your raft is seaworthy or if it will sink to the riverbed with shipmates aboard.
Building a raft offers a team- building activity but it also supports an amazing cause. All the sponsorship funds raised through the Monmouth Raft Race will benefit St David’s Hospice Care 80 percent, Monmouth Rotary club 10 percent and S.A.R.A 10 percent.
St David’s Hospice Care is a Gwent- based charity which provides free, at-home care for those facing life life- limiting illnesses.
St David’s Hospice Care offer care and support to help people live and have the best quality of life possible, the services are delivered either at the patients home or at the hospice.
They believe everyone should have quality and compassionate end of life care when and where they need it.
