An Usk schoolboy is set to appear in a new TV show this week.

Joe Hurst will be seen taking on messy and muddy challenges in the Australian jungle this Friday (22nd July) in Nickelodeon's Camp Orange.

"It's a lot like I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here," said 12-year-old Joe, who entered the show with his best friend Lucy as 'The Valley Commandos'.

"We heard they were looking for best friends for the show so we went to audition at a hotel in Cardiff, where we met Jamie [Rickers, who presents the show with Anna Williamson].

"We had to do challenges including me wearing headphones and Lucy answering questions about me – a bit like 'Mr and Mrs'."
