A Chepstow sprinter was awarded a Paralympic bronze medal last night (4th September) as part of the T37 4x 100 relay team.
Jenny Mcloughlin ran in the fourth leg of the relay to help the team to the third place prize. The runner can add this achievement to more success at London 2012, having run a personal best to make the T37 100m final last weekend.
Jenny Mcloughlin finished seventh in the final, equalling the 14.48 personal best that she had set in her earlier heat.
The former Chepstow Comprehensive School student, who is currently studying at Cardiff University, made her Paralympic debut four years ago in Beijing, where she competed in the T37 100m and 200m.
The 20-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, also won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi competing in the T37 100m.
She will be runnning in the heats of the T37 200m today (Wednesday 5th September).
