On Thursday 2nd July, Jay Roberts from Overmonnow Primary and Monmouth Rugby club player was presented with his Pontypool and District rugby cap for his dedication and hard work for the 2025/26 season. Jay has had a brilliant season playing for Pontypool schools representing Monmouth and was lucky enough to be selected to be part of the annual tour to Italy, Paese.

Where he and his team played some awesome rugby against some strong opposition as well as having some time to visit Venice and take in some siteseeing. Jay has had an amazing opportunity and looks forward to the 26/27 season where he hopes to continue his success in the Pontypool squad as well as continuing his journey with Monmouth rugby club u11s.
