ON Friday 5th May, ‘Elvis Presley’ and the Memphis Mafia rocked Gwehelog Village Hall.

Onlookers claim Elvis flew into Gilwern direct from Memphis to entertain the good residents of Gwehelog, near Usk, and what a performance it was!

Backed by his minders, the Memphis Mafia, Elvis Presley, aka Keith Davies from Abergavenny, performed free of charge so that all the money raised could go to charity. Over the past few years he’s helped to raise a total of £300,000.

Not only did everyone enjoy a great evening out, but in the process almost £1,000 was raised to support community activities and also Wales Air Ambulance.

On 19th June a cheque was presented to Liesel Townley, centre, representing Wales Air Ambulance, by Windsor Howells, chairman, and Annis Paul for Gwehelog Village Hall Committee.
