YOUNG RUGBY PLAYERS from Monmouth and Chepstow helped an invitational side to a trophy win at the Lisbon International Festival of Rugby.

The Frank Sutton-sponsored Junior Buffalos RFC U12's competed over the weekend of 27th and 28th March, 2010, against teams from all over Europe and as far afield as Sri Lanka.

Several teams from the UK participated in various age groups, including Greystones from Ireland, Crawshay's Welsh from Wales, Bath RFC from England.

This was the first time a Buffalos team had been put together since 1997, and the playing squad was largely selected from the strong rugby-playing schools of Monmouth Boys School and St Johns on the Hill, Chepstow.
