Inglis bridge, the connecting route between Vauxhall and Osbaston has been closed for health and safety reasons, following discussions with Monmouthshire County Council and the Reserve Forces and Cadet Association.

At present the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia), who own the bridge, cannot confirm when the work will be completed, due to budgetary restraints.

As agreed with the county council, the bridge will only be accessible by foot.

The decking at the sides is loose and has holes in it, they ask those walking across to keep to the centre.

It has been marked off with cones and the appropriate warning signs.
