Despite heavy rain and strong winds, almost 400 walkers braved the elements to take part in the Lower Wye Valley Walk on Sunday 17th May. The walk was organised by Monmouth Rotary Club to raise money for the breast cancer research charity, In The Pink.
Mike Matthews, President of Monmouth Rotary Club said "The number of people who turned out on Sunday was absolutely amazing considering the dreadful weather.
"We received over £5000 in sponsorship money on the day with many more walkers promising to collect even more during the next few weeks. I ask everybody to give generously, to support both the walkers who made such a tremendous effort, and the breast cancer research charity In The Pink".
