Three local pony club members competed in the national championships in Derbyshire.

These three players were unable to find enough players to make up a team locally so had to join with other clubs to make a team.  All three were placed in their sections.

Gabrielle Jones (left) of the Llangibby Pony Club played with Brecon Minis and was placed third.  Laura Taylor (center) of the Curre Pony Club joined with Dartmoor players and won the senior section, Llywellyn Harrison (right) (from Abergavenny) from the Monmouthshire pony club also played in the senior section with Brecon and they were placed fifth.

LLywellyn went on from there to compete at the UK Polocrosse Association Nationals the next weekend

The Brecon members who were from Crickhowell are Gareth Williams, Hetta Carthew, Lauren Williams and Hugh Carthew.  Many thanks must go to Jo Carthew for doing all of the organising to get these teams there.

 Polocrosse is a great sport for male and female which is like lacrosse on horseback (with a soft ball), this is a fantastic game to watch and all spectators get very involved.
