IR,
Having read the article on Jewel Balti which
held prime position on the front page of last
week's Beacon, I was left somewhat bemused
as to the grounds on which the said restaurant
has comitted any offense.
and am delighted that a stylish eating
establishment has chosen to develop its business
in this part of the town.
Anyone who has eaten at Jewel Balti cannot
fail to realise that its signage, far from being
garish, is a reflection of the cosmopolitan, good
quality food it serves. Surely it is the responsibility
of the town council to encourage and
integrate successful businesses into an old,
established market town, and not to disillusion
them with petty and narrow-minded
threats.
