A MONMOUTH Comprehensive School pupil has raised more than £300 for charity with a haircut.
Having grown her hair so that, when plaited, it measured more than 1ft long, Roni Evans had it cut short to help the Little Princess Trust.
She donated the shorn locks to the Herefordshire-based charity which provides real hair wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
The Year 8 pupil was inspired by a friend to have her hair cut for charity, which was done by Classy Cutz in Newport free of charge.
Asked about her new hairstyle, Roni said: "I really like it. When it was long, I found it annoying so it's nice having it shorter.
"My friend told me about the charity and I thought I'd like to help."
