The Riverside Inn is one of the many in the hospitality sector whose promise of Christmas cheer have been washed away.
We spoke to Gareth Collins of the Riverside who was one of many businesses that cannot get flood insurance now.
The flood waters that swept through the premises which has often seen the pop stars from Rockfield Studios drink there, have ensured that nobody will be celebrating for a long time to come.
“The bar, the restaurant where we served breakfast to residents were three feet under water” he told the Beacon.
He cannot see any of the ground floor rooms ready for customers before Christmas although he hopes that they could open the upper floors for overnight guests on a room-only basis
