SIR,
I wonder if you could help with an urgent problem that has arisen which is similar to one we had last year but on a smaller scale. We have to find outdoor homes for 12 feral cats as soon as possible.
They have been living at the Old Coal Yard, Cwmbran as pest control but the company is now closing due to the recession and the cats will have no one to feed them.
I wonder if your readers could do something to help us find new homes on farms, stables, small holdings etc where the cats will be fed and given shelter. These homes are notoriously hard to find, so any help you could give would be very much appreciated.
Last year, we were faced with the task of relocating 80 feral cats from the Alpha Steel plant in Newport when it closed and although it seemed impossible, we managed to do it with a lot of publicity and support from the local press.
All the cats will be neutered and health checked before they go and the number to ring is 0845 371 2747.
