Projects providing acute mental health support, opportunities for young people, and support for people with complex medical conditions are among those across Wales that have been awarded funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

 As part of the latest announcements from the People and Places programme, a total of £3,094,494 will be shared between 12 projects.

The Monmouthshire charity Home-Start was awarded £189,833. The charity helps families with young children deal with whatever life throws at them.

They support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. The benefits of their support include improved health and well being and better family relationships.
