A NEW booklet about life at home in Monmouth from 1939 to 1945 is being launched at the town's Museum on Saturday.
Home Front Monmouth has been compiled by Betty Williams with a background text by Keith Kissack. The booklet attempts to give a flavour of daily life by reproducing a wide-ranging selection of advertisements from the war-time editions of The Monmouthshire Beacon, the copies of which are part of the Museum collection.
Copies of the book will be available from the Museum from Saturday.
