HOLLY GLOVER, Events & Venue Hire Manager at Chepstow and Hereford Racecourses since last autumn, has been promoted to Senior Commercial Manager.
She takes the place of Caroline Freiha, who has joined Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
The 25-year-old previously handled national commercial activity for Northern Racing, the parent group of the two racecourses, after starting her career with the company as commercial manager at Hereford Racecourse in 2005.
Chepstow Racecourse has a vibrant commercial business not only on days when there is horse racing but also on every other day when the facilities are used by private companies and public organisations.
The University of Wales graduate said: "I am delighted to be taking charge of such a talented and enthusiastic team at both racecourses who are responsible for ticket and hospitality sales as well as all the outside events that are staged by us, particularly at Chepstow."
The two racecourses have a varied programme of horse racing fixtures throughout the year.
Fast approaching at Chepstow is the new Welsh Day on Saturday 7 March, while highlights later in the year include the racing night in conjunction with the Welsh National Opera on 22 June, and the traditional Ladies' Night and Caribbean Night in July.
Richard Holland, General Manager of Chepstow and Hereford Racecourses, said: "Holly's is a well deserved promotion, and I am positive that she will make a considerable contribution to help drive forward our racecourse businesses during 2009."
