MONMOUTH AM David Davies invited seven students from Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls to visit the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff Bay.

The girls had the chance to see the Assembly discussing the Countryside Act and were treated to a tour of the BBC studios.

From the studio the Cardiff Bay background of Wales Today was clearly visible and a couple of girls even had the chance to present the news, reading autocue on camera.

Before their departure David Davies answered their general queries and introduced them to Conservative Leader Nick Bourne.

The trip was an ideal opportunity for the students to become more familiar and aware of the progress in Welsh Devolution and hopefully will encourage a greater political interest from more teenagers.
