THE Friends of Chernobyl's Children in Monmouthshire have now arranged a number of fund-raising events.
A Coffee Morning is being held on Tuesday 20th March at Monmouth Montessori and Llangat-tock School with £1 donation suggested. Telephone 01600 772213 for directions
An Easter Egg Hunt and Decorated Basket Competition has been organised for Good Friday Friday, 13th April, at 11am at Rhiwlas Mill, Nr Raglan. The cost is £1.50 per child. There are two age groups four years and under and five to nine years old. Refreshments will be available for a small charge.

Further ahead, a May Ball has been arranged for Saturday, 12th May ,at The Augusta suite, at The Celtic Manor, Coldra Woods, Newport. Pre-dinner drinks start at 7.30 p. with carriages at 1.30 am. It is a black tie event with dancing to The Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band. There will be a Promise Auction. Tickets are £50 per head, tables of 10 at £500.
