THE Showcase Spectacular in aid of the Mayor of Monmouth's Charities raised nearly £2,000.
Mayor Cllr Mr Richard Bond said he was very grateful to all who took part and all who supported the event as well as to Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls who hosted it.
He thanked Backstage: Producer Cedric Gibbons; Stage Manager Steve Brettle; Lighting and sound Jonathan Guy; Artwork and painting, John Rogers; Printing, Pastorprint; Front of house, Anne Gibbons-Jones, Janet Brettle and representatives of the Mayor's Charities; and Bar, India - Himalaya team.
Performers: Compere Jim Newcomb; Monmouth Comprehensive School; OCT; The Townrow Tappers; Monmouth Operatic Society; OCT Juniors; Hannah Newcomb; Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls; Monmouth School Brass; Monmouth School Barbershop; and Monmouth Operatic Society.
He also thanked all the individuals and businesses who had given raffle prizes.
Cheques for £495 will now be presented to the MONday appeal, Bridges, Waldbronn Twinning and RNLI.
