PUPILS at Wyesham Junior school have been busy thinking up wacky ways of raising money for this year's Children in Need appeal.

The school hosted a chocoholics party on Wednesday November 15th and great fun was had on Friday, when the children held a gunge-the-teacher activity, with Mrs Sue Morris in the front-running to be slimed!

Other fund raising activities included holding a raffle draw with a selection of fantastic prizes, a mini knockout competition and some of the children made badges. Pupil Katie Dade contributed to the good cause by baking a mountain of delicious Pudsey bear biscuits to sell at 20p each.

The enthusiastic children also had lots of fun with a hall-of-copper competition on Friday, when they brought in all their loose pennies and two-penny pieces to line up in rows across the floor of the school hall. The pupils battled it out to see which class could produce the longest line of copper and all the money collected was added to the Children in Need collection box.

A fantastic amount of money was raised by the school for the very good cause.
