The organisers of the recent ball ball and auction at Ross-on-Wye presented a cheque to a Help for Heroes representative.

The final amount raised was £12,582.81. The event was a huge success and one of the organisers, Charlotte Reynolds, said "I would like to say a huge thank you to the businesses and people of Monmouth for supporting the event.

" We never expected to raise as much as this. I would also like to thank Janet and Mervyn Gunn for letting us hold the event in memory of their son, Rifleman Jamie Gunn."
