THANKS to a kind donation of a defibrillator, the McColl’s shop at Wyesham will now have the life-saving device located in their store.
Manager Sharon Thomas was delighted to accept the gift from Aileen Atkinson of Monmouth’s historic building following a suggestion by First Responder Des Hughes that with three defibrillators for Monnow Street, one next to the Shire Hall, one at Helmet Hers and one at Handyman House, Wyesham would be a good place to widen the scope of the network of machines.
With McColl’s open from 6am to 10pm seven days a week, the shop was ideally placed to have the machine.
Training would take place at Helmet Hers, where Darren Childs’ staff are already fully trained in using a similar machine.
