THE Aneurin Bevan Health Board is seeking public feedback about changes to its mental health services which could see the closure of a dementia ward at Chepstow Community Hospital.

The board is holding public consultation events in Monmouthshire this week about its Older Adult Mental Health Redesign.

A report completed on issue suggested the closure of St Pierre Ward in Chepstow and the transfer of beds to Ysbyty Tri Chwm (YTC) in Ebbw Vale for North Monmouthshire and to Sycamore Ward, St Woolos in Newport for South Monmouthshire patients.

The public will have a chance to provide their feedback at the Chepstow Leisure Centre on Tuesday, 14th November from 10am to 11:30am.

On Wednesday, 15th November there will be a public consultation event held at the Shire Hall in Monmouth from 10am to 11:30am.

On the same day there will be an event held at the abergavenny Leisure Centre from 2pm to 3:30pm.

Following this, other events will be held across Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Torfaen and Caerphilly up until 26th January, 2018.
