In answer to Gary Whitcombe's letter (Beacon, 26th May), there is an appeal in Wales to buy, equip, and staff a suitable facility.
Veterans of the Royal Welsh Regiment are in the process of acquiring a property in Llandeilo, the Golden Grove Mansion Appeal is up and running and I have been to the location and seen for myself what has to be done.
The aim is to offer suitable facilities within the property for the treatment of our armed forces personnel and veterans, who have been physically or mentally wounded in the wars.
There will be accommodation for family at the same site.
