MCC are looking for feedback and suggestions for improvements to the county’s librarys as part of a new consultation that’s just launched, Let’s Talk Libraries.

Every three years, the Welsh Government requires libraries run by local authorities to run a consultation to gather feedback from on how the library services play a role in community life and what benefits they bring.

Monmouthshire’s libraries – in Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Gilwern, Monmouth and Usk – are free to join and offer more than simply a wide selection of books, they are hubs for local communities, offering access to research and information, a place to make new friends, take part in activities and events, access e-books and trusted health information, and much more. They help bring communities together via events and offer activities for families.

You can take part in the consultation by visiting your local library and picking up a paper survey or completing the survey online at www.letstalkmonmouthshire.co.uk/libraries-2025.

The consultation will run until 5pm on Friday, 17 October 2025.
