Many congratulations on the 80th birthday of Monmouthshire Hunt Pony Club, where I and my family shared many happy memories during the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

This national youth movement brings together young and old, rich and poor, who have a love for horses and ponies – no matter how humble.

Boys and girls learn to have a mutual respect for the challenge, discipline, fun and companionship and wide interests that this sport can bring to the young people, able-bodied and disabled alike.

Parents and friends, too, play a vital role in the success of any branch of Pony Club activities. All are welcome.
