She may have lost her place on the BBC show The Voice, but Hannah Berney has not lost her place in the heart of her fans at home, as her 'mini tour' of Monmouthshire schools has proven.
Hannah visited Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls (HABS) on Monday (14th May) before dashing off to visit Wyedean and Chepstow schools.
In Monmouth, Hannah treated the girls at HMSG and Inglefield House to a performance in their assemblies. She sang Feeling Good, which she confessed would have been her next choice for the show, and the Cry me a River mash-up that she sang during her last TV appearance.
Hannah has kept in touch with other contestants on the show as well as her mentor Danny O'Donoghue.
The Chepstow girl doesn't seem as saddened by her departure of the show as would be expected.
"It was gutting at the time, but it's fine, being on a show that good, nothing bad can come from it," she said. "You get to sing the song you really enjoy which is amazing.
"Now I am going to go back to the studio and back to writing," she said.
After not being saved by team mentor Danny, Hannah has no regrets in not picking Tom Jones' team, after the Welsh superstar also fell for her voice in the audition stages.
"I'm glad I picked Danny, it was something out of the ordinary for me, it feels like Tom would have been the safe choice."
Hannah's well-attended Facebook page was filled with admiring messages from the pupils she had visited. She replied: "Amazing day at HMSG, Wyedean and Chepstow Comp – thank you all for being so lovely, and some of you for being very cheeky :)"
Hannah was honoured during the Queen's recent UK tour by being invited by her University in Exeter to perform for Her Majesty.
"I was actually more nervous performing on the show because they made me feel so comfortable.
"It was a fantastic experience and a real honour," she said.
Hannah's mother Charlie, whose name her daughter famously forgot in her audition, has now forgiven her for her blunder, and joined her on the school tour.
"She has always sung," said Charlie.
"I remember when we were out having lunch one day, and Hannah was only three. She slipped away from the table and got up onto the stage, cleared her throat and started to sing.
"She gets her voice from her dad but our house has always been full of music," she said.
Hannah's younger sister Saiorse is hot on her sister's heels, with just one year separating them. Also a budding singer and cheerleader, Saiorse has duetted with her sister and is supporting her rise to fame.
